Jason Yeager - Pianist, Composer, Educator

Jason is available to teach private lessons in the Boston area, for all ages and ability levels! Proficient in jazz, classical, and popular music, Jason is able to teach numerous skills like basic piano playing, music-reading, ear-training, and improvisation to beginners as well as experienced players. Jason also teaches non-pianists who are comfortable with their instrument(s) and wish to study improvisation and ear-training.

Jason believes that students can study music that appeals to them, whether it be classical, jazz, rock, blues, folk, etc. - music ought to be fun! What's more, creativity only flourishes when the student feels invested in what he or she is studying. At the same time, Jason also believes it necessary for students to understand and master the fundamentals of music and the piano; such study will allow them to grow successfully in whatever musical direction(s) they choose. Whatever music the student is drawn to, he/she will have an opportunity to grow as a musician by studying with Jason!

Jason is also available to give clinics and coach ensembles.
